Mindful Action

For today, observe your actions. Keep compassion, love, and peace at the forefront of every action, reaction, and interaction.Notice and be aware of your inner emotional experience when you are driving, standing in line at the grocery store, talking to a loved one.

Notice how present you are when you are interacting with others. Are you distracted by emotions, thoughts, or other activities? Are you using your cellphone or regularly checking emails? Are there times when you are compelled to act in ways that are not compassionate and peaceful? Notice these times without judgment and choose only peaceful action today. Choose actions that help you stay in the present moment.

Mindful action is an awareness of how you want to live your life. Being attentive and focused on the task you are doing right now is a mindful action. When faced with strong emotional situations or the need to escape the present moment, let go by practicing mindfulness. How? By choosing actions that mirror peace, compassion, and present moment living.

For today, try:

  • Interacting with all people today in a kind, peaceful and compassionate way

  • Each task or activity that you are involved in be there completely without distractions- focus on one activity at a time

  • keeping a daily log of your reflections on your mindfulness practice

Wishing you peace, love, and joy throughout your day,

Rebecca
