10 Ways to Recharge During Your Workday

Create meaning in your workday by incorporating activities, people, visuals that inspire you regularly, and help you recharge. Some ideas are:

  1. take a walk each day at break or during your lunch hour

  2. visit a new spot, site, or restaurant once a week during your lunch break

  3. spend your break with a positive uplifting person

  4. bring photos of your family to decorate your office space

  5. bring pictures of destinations you'd like to visit, a relaxing beach scene, a field of sunflowers, a sunset

  6. put positive quotes that inspire you in places where you see them regularly (my favorite is "Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon... must inevitably come to pass!" by Paul Meyer)

  7. create a vision board of your goals and intentions and be constantly reminded and inspired to act on your goals

  8. rediscover what you use to love about your job and incorporate more of that into your day

  9. make a gratitude list of what you are grateful about your job and the people you work with and look at it at the start of each day

  10. Take a mini power nap (5 minutes) during your breaks
